HomeHow I work

From the first call to market launch, you have the same contact. Here is how I work, and what I do not do.

Design too, with my designer, from the logo to range variants.

  1. 01

The right rules, the right countries

A supplement, a food, a cosmetic, a kibble: four sets of rules. And every country has its own laws and its own filings. That is the first thing I check.

On your own: a wrong call shows up late, and the formula, label or packaging has to be redone.
  2. 02

The right materials, at the right price

For the same vitamin C, at the same volume, I have seen prices vary threefold. I compare each form across several suppliers, and I work out the quantities so that no surplus surprises you on the invoice.

On your own: the wrong supplier, and a surplus you discover on the invoice.
  3. 03

    Every ingredient, every dose

I check every ingredient and every dose against the rules in force, and how they work together. Before the first quote.

On your own: the rules show up once the batch is made. The label has to be reprinted, and sometimes the whole batch is blocked.
  4. 04

    The right manufacturer

I have 740+ contract manufacturers on file. For each project, I keep those that meet my criteria: compliance, rigour, ability to adapt. I write one brief, which each of them prices the same way.

On your own: weeks of searching and chasing, and quotes you cannot compare.
  5. 05

    Follow-up down to the batch

I review the print proof, I keep you and the plant in step, and I read the certificate of analysis before the batch ships.

On your own: a non-compliant batch found on delivery, already paid for.
  6. 06

    Filing, then monitoring

I prepare the filing in your company’s name, and the roll-out country by country. For as long as the contract runs, I watch the rules that affect your product.

On your own: the paperwork, then rules that change after launch, with no one to warn you.

When I cite a study, I say what it is worth: a meta-analysis does not weigh like a trial on twenty people, and a result in rats is not presented as a result in humans.

For France, the official food supplement register, ingredient by ingredient, with the date it was last checked.

For France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland, what each country publishes: plant lists, limits, statements. Six countries tracked in detail so far, and the list keeps growing: another country can be looked into on request.

The EU registers: novel foods, additives, flavourings, cosmetic ingredients, feed additives and feed materials.

The legal texts themselves, read at their official source in the version in force.

Your project stays yours.

  • The brief I send to manufacturers does not name your brand.
  • I name neither the houses I work with nor my clients without their written consent.
  • A non-disclosure agreement can be signed before going into detail.

A contract, a quote, then the work.

Development takes place under an intermediation contract. Each service is quoted, and the quote is accepted before any work begins. For the finished product, a deposit starts production, and the balance is paid before shipping.

What I do not do.

  • I do not manufacture: manufacturers produce. I choose them and follow them.
  • I do not store your products.
  • I do not file in my own name: the filing is made in the name of your company, as the business placing the product on the market.
  • I do not sign a cosmetic’s safety report: that is for a qualified assessor.
  • I do not give legal advice: my recommendations state what the rules provide at their date.
  • I do not sell to consumers: my clients are businesses.

I entrust design and logistics to experienced partners. I chose them, and I trust them fully. I take nothing from their work: no margin, no commission, not a cent.

You pay the logistics provider directly. Design, I invoice at my designer’s price, and I pass it on to him in full.

For you

Preferential terms, reserved for my clients. Depending on the partner: a discount on the usual rates, free set-up, decreasing prices on variants, a free preview before ordering. And no one to go looking for.

For them

Clients. I send them brands with a well-scoped project, ready to start. That is the whole exchange, and I would rather tell you.

Which manufacturers do you work with?

I do not name them publicly. I have 740+ contract manufacturers on file, in France and elsewhere, and for each project I keep those that fit.

What minimum quantity?

It depends on the format and the manufacturer, and it is negotiated together with the formula. To start small, white label lets you launch in small quantities.

How long does it take?

A first round of manufacturer quotes usually takes two to three weeks. The full timeline is set at the first meeting, depending on format, quantities and countries.

In which countries?

Six countries are tracked in detail so far: France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. Another country can be looked into on request.

I read every request myself, and I come back to you with what I can do, or with what stands in the way.
